MREA is responsible for educating and testing everyone in Manitoba who wants to begin a real estate career and become a licensed salesperson, broker or property manager in the province.

Our educational programs represent a concerted effort by both the Manitoba government and the real estate profession.  This ensures you can best serve future clients in Manitoba in an increasingly regulated industry.

MREA is charged by The Manitoba Securities Commission (MSC) with the development, administration, and delivery of real estate licensing courses for prospective salespeople and brokers in the province of Manitoba.   MREA’s education department is directly responsible for the coordination of these programs; however, all courses and exams are subject to the approval of the MSC.

Our Approach

MREA, in its education programs, recognizes that adult learners are a diverse group, bringing a wide variety of previous experiences and current expectations to their learning experience.

MREA believes in a “learner-centric” approach to its education practices, in which each individual learner is provided with the best available knowledge about learning, how learning occurs, and employs teaching practices which encourage and promote the highest levels of motivation, learning and achievement for all learners.

A learner-centric approach allows individuals to self-pace at their individual learning speed. This approach also allows for the review or repetition of content, as often as learners require, to ensure their full understanding and retention of the material.

In the area of education MREA has a significant commitment to any individual, whether a student, a registrant, or a member, for all pre- or post-licensing programs.  MREA is committed to providing education in Manitoba without constraints of either distance or time and with an approach to ensure maximum accessibility of learning for all Manitobans.

The goal of MREA is to continually uphold the professional image of its registrants by enhancing education and professional standards.
