COVID-19 Policies

MREA Education and COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has created unique circumstances to which everyone has had to adjust and adapt. Finding solutions to ensure students can continue their studies and establish their real estate careers as quickly and safely as possible is a top priority for MREA’s Education Department. Below is a summary of the recent changes that MREA has made to its education offerings during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Exams

MREA has resumed holding in-person exam sessions. These sessions will host a limited number of students at a time, and extensive precautionary measures have been put in place for the safety of students and staff. MREA does not currently have a set exam schedule. Students are requested to reach out to the MREA Education Department via email at education@mrea.mb.ca with exam scheduling requests.

Mask Requirements

Individuals are required to wear a medical-grade respirator mask (i.e. N95 or KN95 mask) at all times while in REALTOR® place.

Online Registration and Course Content

MREA has made online registration available for most of its courses. Online registration provides immediate access to digital copies of students’ course material as they wait for physical copies. To register online visit mreastudents.myabsorb.com.

Contactless Course Materials Pick-up

Students wishing to pick up their course materials can arrange for a contactless pickup appointment. Please contact the MREA Education Department at 204-772-0405 or education@mrea.mb.ca for further details on contactless pickup procedures.

Advancing to the Next Course

Students may register for the next course in the program prior to completing the current course’s requisite exam. However, you cannot attempt the subsequent course exam prior to attaining a passing mark on the prerequisite exam. For example, a Module 1 student can enroll in Module 2 prior to writing the Module 1 exam, but the student cannot attempt the Module 2 exam until they have attained a passing mark on Module 1.

If you have any questions about these offerings, please contact the MREA Education Department.
